The Manila Galleons' Eastward Voyage was a battle of adverse seas, weather and disease. These galleons carried riches from the Orient including silks, spices, jewelry, ceramics and furnishings. The Journey was approximately 8,100 miles taking an average of 200 days without replenishment. The Westward Journey was approximately 6,900 miles taking an average of 100 days.
